چکیده
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the physiological activity of mustard (Brassica juncea L. Czern.) leaf and seed extracts as a cosmetic material, optimization mixing ratio using response surface methodology (RSM).Methods: Optimal conditions for RSM were determined (X1) (X2) independent variable, total polyphenol content, flavonoid DPPH radical scavenging activity, ABTS tyrosinase inhibitory elastase was dependent variable. Results: with maximum antioxidant, whitening, anti-wrinkle effects 3.28 (4.10 mg/mL) leaves 4.21 (5.26 seeds. The activities, activities predicted be 80.01%, 58.50%, 22.11%, 53.88%, respectively. In addition, when mixture treated in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells, NO production inhibited by about 41% compared control group, no cytotoxicity observed. Conclusion: this study, optimal anti-inflammatory has been confirmed, finding suggest that can use material.

Potential of Ricinus Communis L. and Brassica Juncea (L.) Czern. under natural and induced Pb Phytoextraction
Put “metal into the petal” of plants which literally means bioavailability and translocation of the heavy metal to the plants is an important factor in phytoextraction. A green house experiments was conducted to study potential of Ricinus communis and Brassica juncea in metal accumulation at different concentration of Pb and also the effect of the application of two different chelators i.e., ED...
متن کاملNitric oxide production induced by heavy metals in Brassica juncea L. Czern. and Pisum sativum L
In plants, nitric oxide (NO) has multiple roles in defence reactions under abiotic stresses, including heavy metal load. Literature data suggest that there is a causal relationship between NO and iron metabolism but the effects of essential micronutrients/toxic heavy metals on NO production have not been investigated. In this study our aim is to demonstrate the possible role of NO in the plant ...

Mustard leaf (Brassica juncea (L.) Czern.) using as material of a traditional fermented vegetable food (Kimchi) in Korea, is one of the important vegetables. Two cultivars of mustard (red and green) were grown in the experimental farm of Chungnam National University and allowed them to grow until flowering stage. In this study, the variability of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) content and mRNA tran...
متن کاملCloning and nucleotide sequence of a cDNA encoding S-adenosyl-L-methionine synthetase from mustard (Brassica juncea [L.] Czern & Coss).
Ethylene, a gaseous hormone in plants, is involved in the regulation of a wide range of plant physiological processes, including leaf abscission, fruit ripening, and flower senescence (Yang and Hoffman, 1984). SAM or Adomet synthetase (ATP:L-methionine S-adenosyltransferase; EC 2.5.1.6) catalyzes the conversion of Met to SAM in the presence of ATP and Mg2+, which is the first step in ethylene b...
